Chardham Package with Valley of Flowers

Devotees, are you ready to set off for a journey from the plains into the foothills. As you arrive Haridwar, meet the tour representative and get accompanied for hotel check in procedure. In the evening, visit Har ki Pauri for attending the famous Ganga Aarti. The flickering candles or diyas in the sacred river is a sight to behold and acts as a “Sankalp” for you forthcoming journey.
 

The ascent begins today as you drive down to the serpentine lanes that trace the Yamuna River and takes you through the Mussoorie hills. Barkot is at 1220 meters, allowing you to have the first look at the snow-capped Bandarpunch peaks. Spend the dusk in recuperation and acclimatizing your lungs for the first trek.
 

Embark on a short drive leads you to the point of Janki Chatti, marks the start of a 6 km trek. The trek to Yamunotri is quite steep and narrow, lined with sharp rocks on either side. Worship the Goddess Yamuna, and perform the most important tradition of cooking rice in “Surya kund,” considered as Prasad. Afterward, you will head back to Janki Chatti and the drive back to Barkot.
 

The route will further lead you along the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi is an important religious hub, also known as ‘Varanasi of the Himalayas’. Explore the Vishwanath Temple, having an enormous antique trident made of eight different metals.
 

The road trip will lead you to 100 kms of drive to Gangotri, the most picturesque in the whole of Uttarakhand. The journey through the valley of Harsil takes you to the temple of Gangotri, standing at an altitude of 3,100 meters and the structure has been made of white granite. Here, the Ganges is known as the “Bhagirathi”, where you can take a holy dip and offer your prayers here, after which you will return back to your stay.
 

This is going to be a long hectic transit day, as you move from the Bhagirathi Valley into the Mandakini Valley. Encounter the massive Tehri Dam as well as the confluence called Tilwara. Guptkashi is the Hidden Kashi, will be the basecamp for the Kedarnath trek. Complete all the health clearance and verified biometric registrations.
 

Today, you will proceed to Sonprayag or Gaurikund, a base point of 16 kms trek to Kedarnath. The trek is quiet challenging, but when you recite “Om Namah Shivay” with other devotees, you won’t feel daunting. Reaching the 8th century Lord Shiva Temple, where the sun sets behind the Kedarnath Peak is a vastly mystical experience. Camp for the night in one of the basic guest houses or campsites around the temples.
 

Today you will begin the descent after the early morning Abhishek ceremony. Go down easily on the breath but harder on the knees. Once you reach Gaurikund, you, will be escorted back to Guptkashi for a well-deserved resting night. 
 

This is the time for visiting the final dham – Badrinath. The route now proceeds via Joshimath; a town settled on high altitude. Experience the changing topography to stark alpine splendor after reaching Badrinath. Complete the check-in formalities at the pre-booked hotel and then worship the Lord Vishnu at Badrinath Temple and take a purifying dip in the Tapt Kund.
 

Post morning breakfast, visit to Mana Village, proceed to Govindghat. This marks the point where the Chardham Yatra and the Valley of Flowers meet. The 13 km trek to Govindghat. It is a small settlement that is the base camp for the Valley of Flowers as well as the Hemkund Sahib.
 

Today is an excursion to Valley of Flowers Trek, can be accessed after a 4 km trip from Ghangaria. The valley is sprawling over 87 sq kilometers wide, is full of orchids, poppies, primulas, and marigold flowers. The Pushpavati River’s course through this lovely background is a treat to behold. Return to Ghangaria in the afternoon to spend some more time in this paradise.
 

Today, you’ll return to Govindghat, travel to the plains. Go through places like Rudraprayag and Devprayag, the holy junction where the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi mingle into the Ganga. Stay overnight at Rishikesh.
 

The final leg of your journey brings you back to Delhi. As you leave the mountain behind, the sound of ringing temples bells give way to the hum of urban life. You’ll be left at the airport or railway station, concluding a trip that has refreshed not only the soul but the spirit as well.
