Ooty to Delhi – City Intro and Arrival
Leave Ooty and fly through Coimbatore or Bengaluru to Delhi. Upon arrival, our tour coordinator will assist with transfer and check-in at your hotel. After some rest, begin with a drive around India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Parliament House to get a sense of Delhi’s scale and history. Stroll through Connaught Place, where Victorian architecture meets modern India. Enjoy shopping or stop for snacks at a heritage café. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Whimsy of Old Delhi
Breakfast, followed by a visit to the splendorous Red Fort for its red sandstone structure and Diwan halls. Visit Jama Masjid, where the stairs hum with activity and religiosity. Get a spine-tingling rickshaw ride through the shops of Chandni Chowk where lehengas, antiques, and dry fruits are available for purchase. Visit Raj Ghat, then stop by Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, known for its peace and community kitchen. Sample Delhi’s famous chole bhature or dahi bhalla before heading back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Modern Delhi’s Heritage and Retail Therapy
After breakfast, start at Qutub Minar, then visit Humayun's Tomb, a garden-like wonder with Persian architecture. Move on to the Lotus Temple and indulge in some quiet meditation. In the afternoon, go shopping at Dilli Haat or visit Hauz Khas Village, a mix of medieval ruins, trendy cafes, and offbeat boutiques. In the evening, go to Akshardham Temple, famous for its exhibitions and spectacular laser show. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Back to Ooty
Breakfast and spend free time depending on your flight schedule. You may stroll around Lodhi Garden or have coffee at a Khan Market restaurant. Transfer later to the airport and take a flight back to Coimbatore or Bengaluru to proceed with your travel to Ooty.
